Evolution as a method of knowledge
Cognition is the driving force behind our meaningful existence, as a species in general and as individuals in particular. Cognition is a powerful factor that affects the properties of changes that occur with us and with the environment of our existence in time and space. Any process that we contemplate and in which we participate, knowing, and thus changing their directions, are evolutionary processes and must be considered in the general context, as the intersection of an incalculable number of facts in each of the billions of billions of moments of the present time.
At first glance, this exhibition presents seemingly unrelated statements that have different forms and different mediums. Each of these expressions is a slice of existence: a person, an animal, a place… They are an imprint of time and the processes that took place in it. All these processes have a different scale, however, they all have something more in common than gathering in one place now.
Text on the ceiling:
“Evolution and its path become evident when we are at a distance, observing, allowing ourselves to feel the events taking place in different perspectives of history. Each perspective represents a certain period of existence of matter, all perspectives have different scales, both in time and in the space of observation. The universal perspective is the time from the beginning of the universe to the present state and beyond, to the limit of existence. Transitional perspective – the origin and development of self-replicating systems – life, living matter – all the time of its existence and changes. Other perspectives are smaller, such as the development of individual species, or the individual perspective of systems such as the family or the individual. An even smaller perspective allows you to consider processes and changes at the cellular level, another at the molecular and atomic level, and still another at the subatomic level. The birth and transformation of large and small systems, stars, and galaxies can be viewed through such perspectives. Through detached observation through different perspectives at different scales of scope and time, we acquire the opportunity to better understand evolution and its path, as an absolute metamorphosis of everything.”
