“Masters of Time”, or “The Clockmaker and the Chicken” from 1931, a play by the Ukrainian playwright Ivan Kocherha. The plot is about a chance meeting of completely different people at the railway yard, their meeting is repeated after 7 years, and then again after 7 years.
For a long time, I. Kocherga’s play “Masters of Time” was on the shelf of the Soviet censor.
In the introductory prologue to the 1989 film “The Watchmaker and the Chicken”, the audience will have the opportunity to hear Anatoly Stepanenko’s memories of how the filming and recording of the film took place directly on and off the set. Strict and intense work schedule of the film crew, censoring of shots, premiere, etc.
