Alicia Zaton works around the animism of matter, filling her sculptures with secrets and stories. Her work is close to the body, its sensations and gestures. An architecture of intimate spaces, lived in by fluids, objects, materials and memories (wax, mirrors, tiles, latex, ceramics, archives). Her empirical research is shaped by her Polish origins and – more recently – by the search of femininity as an ancestral, hybrid and political body. A form of spirituality combining fragments of christian religion, alchemy, feminism and witchcraft.

Léa Mercier is a visual artist and independent photographer who lives and works in Paris. She creates “photographic objects” that dissect the processes of image production to offer alternative perceptions and uses, in installations that take into account the viewer’s presence and the exhibition space.

Philippe Marcus, artist and curator, practices mural painting, drawing, and writes poetry. He talks about the complexity of things and reality, exposing it to hesitation.

The SNRA residence draws attention to the role of culture and art during the russian-Ukrainian war, aims to implement institutionally critical projects related to cultural heritage (tangible and intangible), development of artistic-cultural institutions. The SNRA residency program and the participation of Alicia Zaton, Léa Mercier, Philippe Marcus were implemented thanks to the grant support from The Académie des beaux-arts in Paris (French Academy of Fine Arts).
