Genesis of expeditionary practices of the art initiative DE NE DE: video screening and discussion
October 25, Double Room 1114, Intourist-Zakarpattia Hotel, Uzhhorod

Natalka is a documentary photographer, video maker, and researcher. Since 2016, she has been a participant of the DE NE DE art initiative and co-founder of the NGO Museum Open for Renovation. In her local history practice, she uses the methods of psychogeography and reading the city/location during Flaneuring, and the collected materials serve to create an archive of cultural heritage and author’s video essays. One of the latest participatory projects created in collaboration with @Dana_Brezhneva – “Photos Atelier of Wonder by Dana and Natalka” is a reflection on the full-scale aggressive russian invasion of Ukraine.

The SNRA residence draws attention to the role of culture and art during the russian-Ukrainian war, aims to implement institutionally critical projects related to cultural heritage (tangible and intangible), development of artistic-cultural institutions. The educational program is created in partnership with the Transcarpathian Academy of Arts.

The SNRA residency program and the participation of Natalka Diachenko were implemented thanks to the grant support from The Académie des beaux-arts in Paris (French Academy of Fine Arts)
