Presentation of the practice, meeting and conversation with the participant of the SNRA residency, Kherson artist KAR.

KAR is an female artist from Ukraine. The coordinates of the work are 46.6558 north latitude and 32.6178 east longitude. In her works 2018-2021, KAR explores the terminological bottom of art (beauty=art=Kherson / subject of free pleasure=art=Ukraine), based on real events, combining the researched into samizat. On February 24, 2022, it captures the anti-metaphorization of the redemption of occupation art in Kherson during the full-scale act of russian invasion of Ukraine. “Zetivshchyna” seeps into the graphics, ceramics, textiles, collages of KAR’s thoughts, which the artist destroys before leaving on November 1, 2022, transporting the still-living art from occupied Kherson to the occupied Left Bank “by pieces of memory.” On February 10, 2023, the previously fixed objects-clapsticks pass the stage of border scanning for “basement” in the direction of Crimea — russia — Belarus — Latvia — Lithuania — Poland — Ukraine — Moldova. On February 21, 2023, KAR, immersed in Oberliht, decides to reproduce pieces of the work in “Staying You Can’t Run Away”, which were destroyed during the crossing of the Dnipro during the crossing to nowhere… On May 20, 2023, in Joensuu, the artist begins to create a new series of graphics “I love Kherson. Kherson loves me.” June 30, 2023 KAR goes to Uzhgorod to “Sorry, No Rooms Available”.
